Ahh.. a Greenish Deadpool perhaps?

Okay, remember when i had that post about JLA coming up with a movie and then i was rambling on about i didn’t (and still don’t) understand why would they get Ryan Reynolds for the Green Lantern role? Apart from my mental image of Green Lantern being a black dude ( i just can’t shake it off), and the fact that DC and Marvel superhero movies really shouldn’t be using same actors. Okay fair enough that with Deadpool you don’t see his face (or do you at some point in the comics? I have no idea, i’m a pure DC fan), but he did show his face in the beginning in X-Men: Origins didn’t he? And after that small role he had, he’s been fixed as Deadpool from that moment in my head. Okay, again, this is just me isn’t it? -.- Unofficial news, but it seems there’s been some issues with the rights going on….

Is The Deadpool Movie Even Happening?

A tweet from Deadpool’s Creator Rob Liefeld may lead people to believe that the solo movie touted for Wade Wilson starring Ryan Reynolds may be in some trouble..

In his tweet Liefield writes

“Warner Bros. just trying to protect their investment. They don’t want Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool AND Green Lantern. Interesting 2 watch”

So since Green Lantern will be made into a Trilogy this could mean the Deadpool movie wont happen.

*Editors note: More on this as/if we hear anything*

Frankly, the Deadpool movie will probably happen but just not with Ryan Reynolds in it i think. Since he is pretty much Green Lantern now and stuff. And in his defence, look at the following article. lol.

Ryan Reynolds On Playing Deadpool and Green Lantern!

Talking with MTV recently, Ryan Reynolds was asked why he is so greedy about playing superhero characters.

“First off, Deadpool is not a superhero and he would stab you in the thorax if he heard you say that. I don’t think I’ve ever said anything geekier than that in my entire life.”

I’ve only played Deadpool for four and a half minutes thus far. When we’re talking down the line and we’re talking about the ‘Deadpool’ movie, at that point you can call me a greedy bastard.”

Come on. He’s not a greedy bastard. I mean, if anything it’s the people who’s in charge of casting that kinda screwed up a little. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna have a role at a super hero? i know i would! But it’s gonna be interesting to see what comes out of these two movies.

I just never liked the idea of DC stuff criss crossing with Marvel. Maybe it’s due to personal experiences dealt in real life with Marvel fans who are douchebags. No no no, i’m not saying Marvel fans are douchebags, i mean the ones i met and spoke to are the douchebags. so after those incidents, i never want to talk about comic stuff with people who are into Marvel. It almost seems like Marvel fans are more into the powers while DC fans are just… more humane. I could be wrong, don’t shoot me :/
